Split Pea Soup with Garam Masala


250g Split pea (or red lentil)

1 Onion, diced

4 Garlic cloves , minced

3 Carrot, diced

¼ Celeriac, diced

2 tsp Garam Masala

1 tsp Coriander, dried

4 Tbsp Olive oil

700ml Vegetable stock

2 Tbsp Coconut milk


Prep.time: overnight

Cooking time: ca 35-40 Minutes

You’ll need: Flexi-beater and Blender Attachment


  1. Cover split with water, and soak overnight
  2. Attach the Flexi beater tot he Cooking Chef Gourmet, and melt butter at 140C
  3. Add onion, garlic, celeriac, carrots and sautee for 5 minutes
  4. Reduce temperature to 120C, and add split pea, Garam Masala and coriander to the cooking bowl, and cook for another 5 minutes
  5. Pour vegetable stock to the vegetables and cook for 30 minutes, or until tender
  6. Attach blender to the kitchen machine, transfer soup into the blender, add the coconut milk and blend soup until creamy
  7. Serve with yogurt and fresh coriander
