Split Pea Soup with Garam Masala
Ingredients
250g Split pea (or red lentil)
1 Onion, diced
4 Garlic cloves , minced
3 Carrot, diced
¼ Celeriac, diced
2 tsp Garam Masala
1 tsp Coriander, dried
4 Tbsp Olive oil
700ml Vegetable stock
2 Tbsp Coconut milk
Salt
Prep.time: overnight
Cooking time: ca 35-40 Minutes
You’ll need: Flexi-beater and Blender Attachment
- Cover split with water, and soak overnight
- Attach the Flexi beater tot he Cooking Chef Gourmet, and melt butter at 140C
- Add onion, garlic, celeriac, carrots and sautee for 5 minutes
- Reduce temperature to 120C, and add split pea, Garam Masala and coriander to the cooking bowl, and cook for another 5 minutes
- Pour vegetable stock to the vegetables and cook for 30 minutes, or until tender
- Attach blender to the kitchen machine, transfer soup into the blender, add the coconut milk and blend soup until creamy
- Serve with yogurt and fresh coriander
