Jerusalem Artichoke Soup with Sesame Salmon

For the soup :

500g Jerusalem Artichoke, peeled-diced

1 Onion, diced

2 Garlic, minced

50g Celeriac, diced

2 Tbsp Butter

500ml Vegetable stock

150ml Heavy cream

Juice of half a lemon





For the Salmon:

1 smoked salmon

4 Tbsp Sesame seed

2 Tbsp Olive oil



Prep.time: 15 Minutes

Baking time: ca 20-25 Minutes

You’ll need: Flexi-Beater and Blender Attachment


  1. Attach the Flexi beater tot he Cooking Chef Gourmet, and melt butter at 140C
  2. Add onion, garlic, celeriac and sautee for 3 minutes
  3. Reduce temperature to 110C, add Jerusalem artichoke, lemon juice, vegetable stock, salt and pepper and cook for 20 minutes
  4. Pour heavy cream tot he vegetables and cook another 2 minutes
  5. Attach the blender to the kitchen machine, and blend soup
  6. For the salmon, heat up olive oil in a pan.
  7. Sprinkle smoked salmon on both sides with sesame seeds, and bake until crisp.
  8. Serve soup with shredded salmon and chives
